Santa begins to consider how the ideas of the naughty and nice list and being good solely to receive gifts are at odds with the good news of Jesus Christ.

I appreciate how the story uses a contentious character in a way that is cognizant of Christian convictions about him. This book is a helpful resource regardless of whether or not you include Santa in your Christmas traditions.
I know of faithful Christians who have both implemented the idea of Santa and those who have preferred to teach their children about his origins in Saint Nicholas and believe both parties and all those in between, will benefit from this sweet story.
The illustrations are well done and the story is told in rhyme making it sure to captivate young readers. This book has found a permanent spot in our December Book Basket.
