I received We Shall All Be Changed compliments of Moody Publishers in exchange for my honest review.

We Shall All Be Changed is the debut title by author Whitney K. Pipkin. It is a lovely tribute to her mother’s life and legacy. It details her mother’s last days as she battled cancer and includes a helpful mix of honest reflection and biblical insight. Following my miscarriage, we attended four funerals in six months. I began to dread death and realized that rather than seeking ways to preserve my life, I needed to cultivate a deeper theology of death. Pipkin helps readers do just that. Death is a difficult topic to discuss for many reasons but Pipkin writes about it in a way that leaves readers with abundant hope.

We Shall All Be Changed

We Shall All Be Changed is for helping Christians navigate the death of loved ones but if you are reading it to understand the biblical view of death, you will be encouraged. Whitney faithfully and continually points readers to Jesus and reminds them of how He’s conquered death and reigns over it. Death may seem like a morbid subject to discuss and study but the way Whitney writes about it is neither. She constantly reminds readers of our resurrection hope.

It seems that books these days are often published because a writer has an audience and the book will sell which makes sense as book publishing is, after all, a business. What I appreciate about We Shall All Be Changed though is that in addition to being incredibly encouraging, it is wonderfully well written. If you are a Christian navigating through or hoping to understand this tough topic better, I highly recommend We Shall All Be Changed.
