Learning that I had been accepted to participate in the Tom Ford x Influenster Rose Prick campaign was a delightful surprise. Like previous campaigns, I received a box in the mail containing my perfume. Unlike previous campaigns, I hadn’t yet received an email stating that I was a part of the campaign. The perfume was delivered to me in an unassuming black box. I couldn’t contain my curiosity and had to open it. I was so excited to see a full-size bottle of Rose Prick inside. The last time I received perfume it was a Christmas gift from my dad about ten years ago. Since perfume is a higher-end beauty item, it is not something I’ve ever purchased for myself. Rose Prick has a lovely floral scent that truly smells like a rose. It has subtle spicy notes of pepper that enhance the sweet aspect of the scent without being overpowering or overwhelming. I had a harder time detecting the spicy notes but my husband noticed them almost instantly.
Rose Prick retails for approximately $350 for a 1.7 ounce bottle which is a pretty steep price even for a designer brand. Mademoiselle by Chanel, one of my favorites, is $105 for a bottle of the same size. Daisy by Marc Jacobs, another floral-scented high-end perfume, retails for approximately $75.00 also for a 1.7 ounce bottle.
While I’m grateful to have received this perfume and enjoy its scent, I don’t know that this is a product I will purchase on my own. I’ve never purchased perfume for myself and were I to start doing so, the price of Rose Prick is a deterrent to me. If you are looking for a light, spicy floral fragrance and have a larger budget, I’d certainly recommend this one.
I received Rose Prick compliments of Influenster in exchange for my honest review.
