The Art of Hand Lettering for Beginners is a helpful resource for anyone who is looking to learn the ins and outs of hand lettering. This workbook begins with an introduction to the various terms used in hand lettering and explains different types of lettering. The author also includes a few pages that list which writing tools are best for the specific styles of lettering. Included in the book are different lettering alphabets and pages for practicing them.
The final section of the book includes various projects for readers to make. I’m looking forward to trying the Colorful Chaos project on page 94 which involves using watercolor paints. I purchased some blank kraft paper cards from Michael’s to practice and am hoping to send the cards to friends and family.
