The Christy Miller series by Robin Jones Gunn is my favorite book series…EVER! I LOVE the series so much because when I began reading it in high school, I could relate to Christy. I felt that the author understood what it was like to be a teenage girl trying to live for Christ in this world and she implemented that into the character of Christy. When I found out that there was another series by the same author, I was so excited!
I read Only You, Sierra and couldn’t put it down. The way Robin Jones Gunn portrays her characters is so compelling, that I can’t wait to read the entire series. In addition to this series, Gunn recently wrote a series about Christy Miller’s best friend Katie Weldon which I am also looking forward to reading! I definitely encourage junior high and high school age girls to read the Sierra Jensen series as it gives them the opportunity to reflect on the choices that they are currently making in their lives and how they can impact the world for Jesus.
