My God Is is the latest resource for children by Stephanie Coffey of Coffey Design Co. The flipbook contains Bible verses from the book of Psalms and each page of the book tells a little bit about who God is. I thought it was neat that Stephanie calls this resource, “A simple biography of God from the Psalms.” Since Stephanie is a mom, she understands the importance of helping little ones learn about God early in life.
The companion workbook to the flipbook is essentially a journal with 30 entries. Each entry contains an area for children to write the date and to write out the verses from Psalms for that entry. There are also three questions for children to ask and space for them to record their responses. The questions are: Who is God?, What Does God Do?, and How Should I Response? I love the simplicity of these questions and even though this resource is designed for kids, I plan on using these questions in my own personal Bible study.
I am really thankful for these resources and look forward to using them with my daughters. I have enjoyed keeping the flipbook on display as a means of Scripture memory for my entire family (these little stands from Dollar Tree are great for that!). The flipbook and workbook are both spiral bound which makes them easy to use. The flipbooks pages are aesthetically appealing and sturdy as well. I highly recommend purchasing both resources together, especially if you have children that are able to write. My oldest daughter doesn’t write quite yet but I’m still looking forward to asking her the questions and recording the responses for her. I’ve even thought about purchasing multiple workbooks so we can go through this biography of God annually. I really love the My God Is resources and they have been such a blessing to my heart and home.
