The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. Psalm 16:6

Welcome to my Miscarriage Resources page. This page was created in the aftermath of my own miscarriage which you can read about here. Miscarriage is not something I ever thought I would experience but I learned that, sadly, 1 in 4 pregnancies ends this way. Upon talking with my doctor at the time, I learned that the type of miscarriage I experienced is called a chemical pregnancy (I loathe that term). Chemical pregnancy was such a foreign term to me that I found myself performing Google searches to see if there were other women who had had similar experiences. I was thankful to find an article from Self Magazine in which a woman shared her story. Knowing that her experience and feelings were similar to mine helped me feel less alone but it didn’t give me much hope. I began looking for biblical resources to help me keep my eyes fixed on Jesus in one of the most difficult seasons I’ve ever walked through. That is how I came across many of the resources below. While I didn’t fully appreciate each resource to the same degree, I found bits of help in each of them and wanted to share since they have the potential to be helpful to someone else. Please consume the resources using your own discernment and consider that although this page isn’t exhaustive, it will be updated from time to time with additional resources. If you are hoping to encourage someone else, please consider that there are various types of miscarriages that require varying levels of care and every person grieves differently. What may be helpful for one woman, may not be helpful for another. I pray that this page is a blessing and help to all who come across it. If you’ve had or are experiencing a miscarriage, please don’t suffer alone – draw near to the Lord, your local church, and feel free to reach out to me here if it would be helpful. I’m praying for you as you grieve and heal.
