I am thankful to have received an Influenster #Summer2020Kickoff VoxBox. When I first began doing reviews for Influenster, many of the items included in their boxes were from brands I don’t normally use and items that included harmful chemicals. Although this VoxBox included a few items in the latter category, I was excited that it also came with some products that contained safer ingredients. Here are my reviews of each item:

Aura Cacia Rose Hydrosol

The Aura Cacia Rose Hydrosol is a fragrant, refreshing spray. I really enjoyed this product and love that at just 3 fl oz, it’s perfect for placing in my carry on when I travel. The product is $12.93 on Amazon so I’m not sure that this will be a regular purchase but I do like how refreshing it is. Aura Cacia also makes a Lavender Hydrosol and a Chamomile Hydrosol both of which I look forward to trying at some point. Although the Aura Cacia Rose Hydrosol isn’t listed on the EWG Skin Deep Database, I found a product containing similar ingredients and it has a rating of 1 which makes me feel comfortable using it.

Aura Cacia Oil Moisturizer

Influenster

The Aura Cacia Oil Moisturizer is a versatile moisturizing product composed of various oils. I enjoy using this on my face for long-lasting moisture and like that it can be used for other areas like my hands and feet too. I look forward to trying the Age-Defying version of this product.

Twisted Ranch Cheddar Popped Jalapeño

Influenster

I really enjoy eating ranch with certain foods, however, I’m not a huge fan of jalapeños. I didn’t care for the flavor of the Twisted Ranch Cheddar Popped Jalapeño dressing. The dressing certainly tastes of jalapeño and thus has a small kick to it. If you enjoy jalapeño, this may be for you but I don’t see myself purchasing it in the future.

Oxi Clean White Revive

I tested out the Oxi Clean White Revive Laundry Stain Remover on a small load of mostly white laundry. I didn’t notice any difference in the white items once they had been washed. I did notice, however, that the stain remover was able to remove hot pink Sharpie stains from one of my white hand towels so I’m thankful for that. My daughters and I have sensitive skin and as this product received a rating of 4 by the EWG, this won’t be in our regular laundry line up. I may use it in the future if I need to remove tough stains from non-clothing items.

Tums Chewy Bites

Tums Chewy Bites are a great alternative for someone who doesn’t enjoy the chalky taste and residue of traditional Tums tablets. I tried one of the chewy bites for the sake of the review as I don’t normally take traditional medicine for stomach issues. The chewy bite had a subtle berry flavor and was very waxy. Additionally, the chewy bites contain unhealthy ingredients like added sugar and food coloring. I’m not a fan and won’t be purchasing this product. When we do have stomach issues in our household, we generally tend to use peppermint essential oil or drink peppermint tea and that has worked well for us.

Overall, I enjoyed the products I received in the Influenster #Summer2020Kickoff VoxBox. Although I won’t be making each product a regular purchase in my household, it was fun to test these ones out!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
