I received the product featured compliments of Influenster and STEM.

Living in Texas, I’ve learned that everything here is, indeed, bigger including the bugs. So when I learned that Influenster would be sending STEM, a plant-based bug spray, I was excited. This summer we experienced an increase in yellow jacket and hornet nests around the exterior of our home. Since we have young children, I was concerned for their safety every time they would play outside. My husband had used some sort of spray to knock down most of the hornet’s nests so by the time my bottle of STEM arrived, there wasn’t much use for it.
I did spray some of it outside to test it out and even sprayed some on a huge hornet at one point. The hornet had been resting on my front porch and once it was sprayed, it went away for good. I like that the STEM spray is safe for use around children. It smells like lemongrass which I appreciated because I don’t enjoy using products with overpowering smells. As I continued to use my STEM spray, the product had a hard time coming out of the nozzle and started to slowly trickle out which made it ineffective. I love the idea of an insect repellant that is safe for use around kids and pets but since this one had trouble spraying out, I’m not sure that I would purchase it in the future.
