Before the Throne by Crickett Keeth is one of the latest women’s Bible studies in the line produced by Moody Publishers. In this eight week Bible study, Crickett takes women through various passages of Scripture to consider how past saints have gone before the throne of God in prayer. Each week of the study begins with examining one of those prayers.
Study participants read the prayer in Scripture and learn about the prayer, the individual who prayed it, and ultimately, about God. I appreciate that the study examines prayers from both the Old and New Testaments. My favorite week of the study was Week 2 which examines some of the prayers included in the Psalms. It fascinates me to consider the diversity of emotions expressed in the Psalms and how believers can use them as springboards for prayer.
Like the other Moody Publishers studies for women, this one can be done individually or as a group. The content of the study is theologically rich yet the questions are easy so Bible students at various stages should have no trouble completing them. I really enjoyed Before the Throne and it is a lovely addition to the line of studies for women by Moody Publishers!
I received Before the Throne compliments of Moody Publishers in exchange for my honest review.
