What is Vivvi & Bloom?
When I received my Vivvi & Bloom Voxbox in the mail from Influenster, I was intrigued when I observed that their products are EWG Verified. Vivvi & Bloom is a brand of baby products that is gentle and free of unnecessary, harsh ingredients. EWG stands for Environmental Working Group and it is a nonprofit that allows consumers to access their Skin Deep Database to view the ingredients in skincare and household products and to see how harmful they are to humans. When a product is EWG Verified, it is free from toxic chemicals that the EWG deems “chemicals of concern.” The Vivvi & Bloom line of babycare products was launched last month by its parent company Johnson & Johnson.
My Honest Review
I received the Vivvi & Bloom Fragrance Free Gentle 2-in-1 Baby Wash & Shampoo Cleansing Gel. Although I don’t typically use soap when washing my newborn, this is a product I would feel comfortable using. To test it out, I tried it on myself first for facial cleansing and in place of shaving cream. My skin was really soft after using it and I like that it could be used for my girls to take a bubble bath. This particular product is about $10 for 10 ounces which seems a bit pricey to me. For my family, I purchase Everyone 3-in-1 Soap which is also EWG Verified and is just under $10 for 32 ounces. I’ve purchased a product subscription for the soap on Amazon which made it even cheaper. Another option we’ve tried is using Equate Castile Soap which has an EWG rating of 1 and is $9.87 for 32 ounces at Walmart. Johnson & Johnson is a company I don’t trust mostly due to its many lawsuits pertaining to claims about their previous baby powder formula causing cancer. While I’m grateful to have received the Vivvi & Bloom Cleansing Gel for testing purposes, I don’t see myself making it a regular product in our home.
