We Believe: An Alphabet Primer is the latest installment in the Baby Believer series by Catechesis Books. We Believe walks little ones through the entire alphabet. As they learn each letter, they will learn an aspect of Christianity that begins with the same letter. Each page also includes a bit of text to help explain the aspect of Christianity mentioned. Some explanations come from Bible verses while others include texts from creeds, song lyrics, and the author’s explanation.
I love that this book can be used in a variety of ways. So far, I’ve enjoyed using this book in our homeschool routine as a means for my oldest daughter to identify the letters. I can also use it with my younger daughter to teach her the alphabet. As they grow older, I look forward to teaching them the aspects of the Christian faith included on each page. I am thankful that from a young age they will become familiar with important theological terms like disciple, incarnation, and Trinity.
This board book is full of lovely illustrations that kids and parents will both enjoy. My children really enjoyed this alphabet primer and look forward to reading more from Catechesis Books in the future.
