Perfected: Trading Shame and Striving for Wholeness in Christ is the debut title by professor, speaker, and author Bethany Broderick. The book is about Bethany’s struggles with perfectionism and how she’s found freedom in knowing that God sees her as perfect because of Jesus. I found Perfected to be very relatable and also healing. It comforted me to be repeatedly reminded that I can work out my salvation with fear and trembling because Christ’s work is complete. This book would be an excellent read for any Christian and those who have struggled with perfectionism and/or legalism will find it especially helpful. Read my full review here.
