Just Show Up is the latest book by book editor and author Drew Dyck and it’s about one of my favorite subjects—ordinary faithfulness. Dyck begins the book by sharing about his dad who became a pastor despite academic difficulties by simply showing up. What is showing up? According to Dyck, “Often it requires that you are physically present, like my dad turning up for class. But it’s bigger than that. It’s about moving through your life with a commitment to attend to the most important things. And it requires action. It means being willing to take that first scary step toward what you feel God is calling you do to. And then do it again,” (pg. 22). Read my full review here.
